• First show held on December 10th 1885 on the new showgrounds in Steere Street Bridgetown.
  • Then in 1905 moved to the current showgrounds in Peninsula Road.
  • The Annual Show is held on the fourth Saturday in November.
  • A volunteer community group who are legally responsible for the care of the showgrounds.
  • All monies raised are used to further improve the grounds and run the Annual Show.
  • The Committee meet monthly from February to December.
  • The Committee relies on the support of sub committees, stewards, members and sponsors to bring the show together.
  • The Show contains traditional and modern aspects and supports the Family values, bringing people together to enjoy and share each others knowledge.
  • The buildings and grounds are available for hire through the friendly staff at Bridgetown Community Resource Centre.
  • The Committee work in with other Community groups to meet the needs for many local events in the town during the year.
  • The main objective of the Society is to promote and showcase the grounds for cultural, community, tourism, sporting, recreational, rural and industrial events.
